Pour Over
by Morrick's Keep on Jun 28, 2026
A slower ritual. A cleaner cup. One worth waiting for.
What You'll Need
- Pour Over Dripper (V60 or equivalent)
- Paper Filter
- Server or Mug
- Freshly Roasted Morrick's Keep Coffee
- Burr Grinder
- Gooseneck Kettle
- Digital Scale
- Timer
Recipe
- Coffee
- 20g
- Water
- 300g
- Water Temperature
- 92–94°C
- Grind Size
- Medium (similar to sea salt)
- Brew Time
- 2:45–3:15 minutes
Step 1—Grind
Grind 20g of fresh coffee to a medium consistency. Fresh grinding preserves the coffee's aroma and sweetness.
Step 2—Prepare
Place the paper filter into the dripper and rinse thoroughly with hot water. Discard the rinse water and place the dripper over your server or cup.
Step 3—Add Coffee
Add the ground coffee and gently shake the dripper until the bed is level.
Step 4—Bloom
Start your timer.
Pour 40g of water evenly over the coffee.
Allow it to bloom for 30–45 seconds.
This releases trapped gases and prepares the coffee for an even extraction.
Step 5—Continue Pouring
Slowly pour the remaining water in controlled circles until you reach 300g.
Keep the water level steady and avoid pouring directly onto the filter.
Step 6—Let It Finish
Allow the water to draw down completely.
The total brew time should be around 3 minutes.
Remove the dripper once the coffee has finished dripping.
Step 7—Enjoy
Swirl the coffee gently before pouring into your favourite cup.
Take a moment before the first sip.
The story is just beginning.
